Overview

The SCCG Internal Control and the ICC internal control have been integrated into a single product, now designated as IC for Internal Control - Part Number 420337.

This updated version consolidates the functionalities of the SCCG and ICC into a unified product intended for utilization across all PathoSEEK® methods.

Internal Control (“IC”) Update

  • Name Change: Internal Cannabis Control (ICC) becomes Internal Control (IC)
  • Unified Design: The SCCG Internal Control (Single Copy Cannabis Gene PN 420326) and the ICC (Internal Cannabis Control PN 420337) are combined into one standardized internal control reagent for simplified inventory control, end-user workflow, and compatibility with future method development.  
  • Backwards-Compatible: As neither control design has changed, IC will be fully compatible with existing assays and workflows that previously called for the SCCG Internal Control (PN 420326).
  • Verified: Validity of results will be unaffected by this change. The performance characteristics of the methods that utilize the legacy SCCG part number are not impacted. Cq values delivered by the IC versus the SCCG are consistent in side-by-side validation studies.
  • Part Numbers
    • The Internal Control (IC) will maintain PN 420337.
    • The SCCG Part Number 420326 will be retired by the end of the year.
  • When replacing the legacy SCCG Internal Control, no changes to dilution preparation, assay setup, or threshold settings are required.
