PathoSEEK® Detection Assay Updates

We’ve updated three assays:

• Total Aerobic Count (TAC) — PN 420106

• Bile Tolerant Gram Negative (BTGN) v2 — PN 420149

• Total Coliform & Entero — PN 420153

What’s New

1. Internal Control

• All three assays now target a new region of the cannabis genome.
• For non-flower matrices, use the PathoSEEK Internal Control (PN 420337)

2. Master Mix Changes

• BTGN and Total Coliform & Entero now use Amplification Mix (instead of qPCR MM v3).

  • Updated Cq → CFU conversion equations apply.

• TAC continues to use qPCR MM v3, so its conversion equation has not changed.

3. Assay + Mix Kits

Each updated assay is now sold as a kit that includes the correct Master Mix / Amplification Mix.

4.  Automation

qPCR Setup is can be automated on MYRA Liquid Handler and can be run on MIC qPCR Instrument

The microbial target sequences 

The assay positive controls

Availability

Original versions will remain available until July 2026.
