When the virus multiplex control is not available, you have single controls on hand, or only one control is needed, follow this procedure.
- For the positive control(s), transfer 1 µL of each control into 7 µL of water
- It’s only necessary to use the positive controls for the viral targets of interest – make sure the final volume of the positive control dilution is 10 µL
- For the negative control, use water (found in the kit).
It is best to add the largest volume reagent first, in this case H2O.
